How to Support Someone Who has had a Miscarriage or Stillbirth
è Support both parents in all the emotions they are feeling at this time.

è Allow both parents to cry and express their emotions.

è Listen, Listen, Listen without judging or giving your opinion.

è If you are not sure what to say, just say "I am really sorry for your loss"

What Not To Say
è You can always have another child.

è It was for the best, there was probably something wrong with the child.

è You are lucky it happened so early in your pregnancy before you really became attached.

è Next time maybe you shouldn't get so attached until you are further into your pregnancy.

è It wasn't really a child yet, why are you so upset?
